A Stance of Solidarity

While the foundations of injustice your oppressors have built are being burned to the ground I will stand with you;

Hands inseparably intertwined with yours

Feet settled firmly into the earth;

Allowing all to behold the beauty in the contrast of our skin glowing against the flames of an uprising.

Looking forward together through the conflagration, my mind is set on witnessing your vindication;

Rejoicing in your rebirth of belonging and rising from the ashes like a Phoenix.

Sacred.

Purified.

Strengthened.

I see your bodies and minds tired, but not weakened.

I hear your voices rasped, but not wavering.

I humbly offer my chest and embrace for safety and rest.

I fiercely offer my heart and will to fight for you.

I do see you, explicitly.

I see your children.

I will echo the pain resounding in your cries and amplify them;

Particularly in the presence of the discomfort of others who seek to silence you.

My solidarity is with you.
